The primary purpose of the Telemetry Technologist position is to provide high-level confidential direct patient care by assisting in the management of remote monitoring and remote interrogation of cardiovascular implantable electronic devices, wearable electronic devices, maintaining equipment, arranging services, and assuring appropriate documentation.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Responsible for managing the Remote Monitoring(RM) and Remote Interrogation (RI) of Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED). Enroll patients with CIED into RM System. Monitor the device Company websites including but not limited to: Medtronic, Merlin, Boston Scientific and Biotronik, for pre-specified alerts. Schedule and confirm appointments for RI. Review and enter data from RI into the EMR device form. Forward device and billing forms to the responsible physician. Notify physicians of alerts from RM or for shocks or other significant arrhythmias noted on RI.
