Posting Summary Temporary Research Assistant position is designed to bridge the gap in research and technical activities in Dr. Haffty’s lab due to an absent Research Associate I. Incumbent will be involved in and assist with research and technical operations related to the role of combination drug or radiation therapy related to cancer cell lines. Incumbent may assist in training students in these areas.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Works under the direction of the PI or senior lab members. Assists with research and technical operations related to the role of combination drug or radiation therapy related to cancer cell lines. Supports functions within the lab in clinical, research and teaching areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the lab/department(s). May assist in organizing, leading and conducting highly specialized research activity for a particular research project. Incumbent may assist in training UG students in these areas.  Have competent computer skills and be able to utilize equipment and technology in support of project.  Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and ability to summarize scientific research process and communicate project findings.  Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
