Questions or need assistance with application: 406-869-8318 The main purpose and function of the Temporary Summer Plant Position is to assist in aspects of general plant help and that appropriate consideration is given to safety, quality, and environmental concerns. Specific responsibilities may include: + Shrink wrap pallets, when required. + Clean up and maintain a safe, clutter-free work area. + Work under close supervision and/or standard operating procedures, including strict safety rules and quality specifications. + Interact with other production crew members. + Responsible for reporting safety, quality, environmental, and equipment concerns to supervisor. + Support and participate in the organizations Continual Improvement Program and Quality Management System. + Operate forklift to transport supplies and finished product. + Place filled bags, by hand and / or machine, in proper configuration on pallets. + Other duties as assigned. Requirements: + Must be 18 years of age due to insurance requirements. + Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math functions. + No experience required - will train on the job. Knowledge and Skills: + Operation of both simple and computerized packaging equipment. + Maintain accurate count of production and materials used. + Peer-to-peer and employee-to-supervisor communication skills and interpersonal skills. Physical and Safety Requirements: + Reasonable accommodations are made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. + Frequent handling of heavy material when utilizing manual packaging equipment. + Intermittent handling of heavy materials when using automated packaging equipment. + Must be able to work in a fast-moving production line. + Frequently work outside in variable weather. + Frequently work around machinery and mobile equipment. + Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day. + Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. + Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
