Territory Sales Manager - Poultry

Summary

As the Poultry Feed Sales Representative for Perdue Animal Nutrition, you will be responsible for sales and sales growth to our poultry customers within the assigned territory. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers in the poultry industry to pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory. Work cohesively with poultry formulation to meet market demand. Provide quotes to customers weekly. Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers, addressing their specific needs and concerns. Achieve sales targets and objectives within the designated territory. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company's products. Minimum Education

 Bachelor's degree in poultry sciences, agriculture, agribusiness, animal nutrition, food science, veterinary science, or business.

Experience Requirements 3-5 years of previous sales and territory management experience in the poultry industry. Proven experience in sales and preferably in agriculture and/or poultry feed sales.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Strong math, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to self-motivated, work independently, and as part of a team.

Valid state driver’s license.

Experience Preferred

Prior knowledge and experience in sales and/or marketing with the poultry industry preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Must be able to travel within the territory or within the US as needed.  Must maintain a home office, and internet connectivity for use in running the territories business.   Overnight travel is estimated to be between 25 and 75%. Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations.  Able to move freely about dairy farms, feed mills and other agricultural areas.  Exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow and extreme temperatures (-15 - 90 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db).   Able to efficiently use electronic devises such as laptop computer, iPhones and iPads as well as Microsoft office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint .  Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
