Test Engineer - Controls

As a Controls Test Engineer You Will

This position focuses on supporting the testing and evaluation of new and enhanced process control technologies for process control systems. 
As a Controls Test Engineer, you will:

Work with a team of domain experts to research and develop a new generation of hardware and software to establish final control element performance. Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand their valve and process control needs. Provide technical feedback and direction to the design and evaluation of new product concepts, including conceptualization, design review, and testing of complex products Conduct controls analysis for electro-pneumatic systems. Design, set up, and complete hardware, software, and electronics testing to validate performance and application. Use software such as LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, and MATLAB to gather and evaluate experimental data Work with Simulations, Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Sales, and Procurement groups as part of a multi-functional team

For This Role You Will Need:

BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Preference will be given to those with prior controls and/or NPD experience. Understanding and/or functional expertise in most of the following areas: Advanced control algorithms, e.g., for loop stability, robustness, and performance analysis Basics of controls and modeling for mechanical and electronic elements LabVIEW and/or MATLAB/Simulink Analog and digital signal processing Pneumatic Systems Proven mechanical proficiency A successful candidate will have a passion for science and technology coupled with an ability to work in a team environment. A desire for innovation is a must
