Here’s the Gist

Manages the design with planning, construction and owners of machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and other design related costs. Designs and develops design organizational policies relevant to the facilities and global engineering department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and tool layout with facilities site level and facilities expansion teams. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards in relations to designs.  Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

The Day-to-Day

Manage team of cad design engineers to create tool packages that include architectural, process, electrical, Life safety, mechanical, and facilities utilities.Coordinate with local equipment and industrial engineering teams to get all design spec documents and POC connection requirements to enable design specifications.Coordinates timeline and expectations to all functional stakeholders to maintain the proper bidding and installation timeline to meet the customer tool install timelines.  Works with engineers regarding design standards, POC assignments, equipment schematics, and overall tool installation design specifications.Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by industrial engineering.Validates tool install package design specs with the field verification by managing team members responsible for design field verifications.Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs with tool install managers.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in CSA, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technologies, or similar degree with 5 + years of prior work experience as an BIM Designer3-5 years’ experience of leadership or managementGood working knowledge Autocad and/ or Bluebeam software  Experience in large construction or manufacturing tool installationHave detailed understanding and hands-on experience with all facility utilities: Power, Gases, Pvac, PCW/DI water, Exhaust, Abatement, Waste streams, Semiconductor equipmentUp to 10% travel requirement
