Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Environmental Planner 1, we'll count on you to:

Work in a team setting to perform environmental assessments related to CEQA and/or NEPA clearance while collaborating with a team of technical staff to write reports and technical memos.Research and analyze technical environmental topics including screening constraints and opportunities to help determine findings in accordance with regulatory requirements.Interest to work with transportation clients including Caltrans, FHWA, MTC, BART, CTA, FTA, FRA, FAA or other agencies and assist in completing the appropriate level of analysis. Assist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Environmental Science or related fieldExperienced in MS Office SuiteInterested in transportation related projects: trails, streets, highways, transit, rail and aviationExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present in front of clients and the publicStrong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilitiesAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferred0-3 years of ExperienceExposure to environmental analysis, CEQA or NEPAExperience working with Transportation and Transit agencies

The expected compensation range for this position is $57,750.00 - $97,500.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
