Position summary: Responsible for traffic analysis using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Under the direction of a senior engineer, perform traffic analyses/studies, traffic signal warrant analyses, interchange access reports (IARs), corridor studies, traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking plan development. Oversee collecting traffic volume, road and regulatory data. Contribute to the writing of draft reports including traffic impact studies Utilize engineering design software (SYNCHRO, HCS, etc.)  Prepare engineering and design documents with proficiency Application of advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices in small and large traffic engineering projects Occasionally required to gather offsite field data Other duties as assigned
