JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Tribal Programs, the Tribal Programs Assistant will provide a high-level of administrative support to ensure the successful operations of the Tribal Programs Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

 

Provide excellent guest service. Answer telephone calls in a professional manner, providing answers when possible and transferring calls or taking messages when needed. Provide administrative support to Tribal Programs staff and when requested assist with the preparation of Committee meetings, production of flyers, and completion of action items.  Maintain office equipment, and supplies. Distribute mail, copy, and file as required, while maintaining a professional and secure work environment. Maintain and support filing systems for Tribal Programs related material. Post weekly Tribal mailings, and update Tribal Events calendar accordingly. Process check requests in a timely manner. Provide information on Tribal programs available, and assist Tribal Members with completing Tribal related forms and applications. Issue Tribal Member Identification cards. Must comply with all applicable standard operating procedures in accordance with policies and guidelines.
