More About The Role: The Assistant Manager in Supply Chain Operations is the glue to keep our great supply chain running at Pizza Hut UK & Europe. This person will be the key to ensure we our delicious pizza gets served by making sure our ingredients are available by leading day to day communications with our huts and our distribution partners on key topics such as: stock availability, new lines, promotional launches, pricing.  This person will also support supply chain operations metrics by holding accountability to track daily and weekly KPIs and distribution performance improvement measures. They will need to be versed in technology and be accountable for updates in some of our platforms. They will also be accountable to liaise with suppliers to collect any fees to track funds. Another exciting part of this role will be to keep on top of macro factors that our front of mind to our brand and to our franchisees, such as quarterly inflation tracking for key commodities, regulation changes and audit performances. Reporting on key projects and supporting forecasting efforts will be an important part of growing this role further into a strategic partner

The role requires courage, grit, organisation and a good sense of prioritisation.  It requires the ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners, as well as providing information across a wide variety of SCM metrics.   

Key Job Functions Include:

Be the key day-to-day point of contact for our distribution partners Track and own key information such as price lists and range plans Manage distribution daily and weekly KPIs and track performance improvement measures Update key platforms with latest information periodically Support stock management: manage stock risks, new line and promotional launches for stock and availability Liaising with finance on forecasting & data collection  Support reporting on key metrics informing SCM activity (e.g. quarterly inflation, audits) Support reporting in response to regulation changes Support reporting on key initiatives Ad hoc support of project analysis and roll out Ad hoc support to category managers Support the SCM team in delivering on its broader strategy (e.g. consolidation, market visibility, ESG advancement, compliance and COS savings) Continuously identify improvement ideas to ways of working with distribution partners

Crucially, you will manage relationships with:

Distribution Manager (line manager, visibility of development, guidance)  Other SCM leaders (Procurement, Key projects, Supply Chain Director) Distribution partners PH UK & Europe Cross functional teams (Finance, Operations, QA, Marketing) European & UK franchisee partners (key updates and liaison with distribution and supply partners)

The experience we’re looking for:

A fantastic “play to win”/can do mindset – with proven energy and grit Experience in an operational setting – in hospitality and/or distribution Experience tracking key distribution metrics Proven problem solving experience Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint Versed in Supply Chain Management software Excellent communication skills Experience in European Supply Chain with food and beverage and/or multi-outlet industry preferred Ability to understand and appreciate technical issues associated with purchase, supply, and supplier standards
