Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline with 9 years of professional relevant experience, OR, Master’s Degree in Engineering/Business Administration Discipline with 7 years of professional relevant experience.Advanced knowledge of many areas of Optical Engineering, typically has an advanced degree in Optical Engineering or similar disciplineAdvanced knowledge of optical design codes (Zemax, Code V, etc.)Advanced knowledge of Optical Metrology (Interferometers, image quality metrics, alignment and test techniques, etc.)Prior experience leading teamsActive US DOD Secret or above clearance. Pre-employment federal level drug screening and background checks are standardE-Verify employer

Competencies/Skills/Experience:

Working knowledge of sensor technologies, requirements and applicationsBroad knowledge of all relevant engineering disciplinesCreating and executing technical plans including schedules and budgetsCreating/designing systems to meet customer requirements by working directly with external and internal customersWorking across the L3 enterprise to improve product offerings to customers Working knowledge of competitive technology and productsManaging resources to satisfy external and internal customer requirementsDemonstrate capability to lead a cross-functional/cross-divisional engineering team to accomplish technical tasksProficient in Microsoft Office and Project.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to make complexdecisions with sparse data
