The Veterinary Technician Manager is a leader and is integral to the Pet+ER - Columbia, veterinary hospital management team. The Veterinary Technician Manager partners with the management team and the Hospital Director to provide a smooth and profitable operation by creating a hospital culture based on high quality emergency patient care and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing, planning, and coordinating the hospital's overall operations and cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment while working alongside the technician and assistant staff. A Veterinary Technician Manager leads by example and exemplifies caring, compassionate, dedicated behavior and speech.

Job Responsibilities:
This is a daily in- hospital position managing and working alongside a team of technicians.Staff mentorshipWork alongside technicians and assisting with procedures, appointments, and work- upsScheduling & payrollConducting staff meetings, corrective actions and process improvement plansSupervising the Inventory Assistant Manager, Cubex, & VetcoveExecuting doctor and employee requests Overseeing training programs for surgery, shift leads, and overall staffHiring, onboarding, new hire orientation, termination, offboardingConducting monthly 1- on- 1's, 90 day and annual performance reviewsAssisting on the treatment floor, training staff, ensuring high standard of care is provided to our patients and clientsCreating and implementing hospital SOP's/ Policies/ ProceduresTeam building and activities to boost moralQualifications:3 - 5 years of experience in a Veterinary Technician role. Including customer service experienceLVT preferred but not requiredExperience in a hospital setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus.About You:Strong sense of professionalism, accountability, and workplace prideMulti- functional operations, including budget and labor managementProblem- solving and resolution management skillsInterpersonal skills with staff and clients. Compensation: Based on experience & skill level. $55k - 67k/ annually.

Education & ExperienceHigh school or equivalent (required)Minimum 3 years experience as a Veterinary TechnicianMinimum 3 years experience in leadership
