WSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President, Project Controls with our client in Omaha, Nebraska.

Your Impact Strong collaborative scheduling, forecasting and analysis leader for assigned project controls manager. Works on multiple scheduling projects as a project leader or project advisor within functional teams. Independently develops new project schedules for complex projects using Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling applications as necessary. Develop and implement monthly schedule updates and variance reports in accordance with Client process and procedures. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team. Develops and maintains sustainable Enterprise level scheduling processes and procedures. Creates complex scheduling models. Prepares and analyzes master project/program schedule. Assess contractor monthly schedule updates and support analysis of potential delay claims and change orders. Participates in client presentations as required. Participates in and coordinates with other project controls areas. Participates in labor projections in support of department staff planning. Provides schedule support for change management or claims analysis (e.g., using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, etc.). Analyzes contract documents/construction documents (plans and specifications) to translate scope of work, milestones, contract time, and/or construction phasing and sequencing into the schedule. Performs schedule risk analysis, including quantitative risk analysis. Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay. Performs contemporaneous schedule analysis. Performs detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates. Quality controls all scheduling deliverables prepared by support staff Who You Are

Required Qualifications

10 years’ experience in developing and managing complex, multi-contractor project Schedules. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline Utility capital Transmission and Distribution projects experience preferred. Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera. Experience working with large and challenging teams. Assessment of contractor monthly schedule updates and supporting analysis of time delay claim Perform time impact analyses (TIA) and forensic delay analysis to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays during construction Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams. Effective reporting and communication skills. Experience in preparing high level project reports and documentation. Exercise responsible, ethical decision-making with Client funds and resources in accordance with WSP"s Code of Conduct. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP"s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

Airport construction and Design Build delivery methods is desired Experience working with large and challenging teams. Proven experience in effectively reporting and communicating schedule variances and recommendations to wider project team. Experience in preparing high level project reports and documentation.
