As a Sr VTC Systems Engineer, you will join our client's Workplace Collaboration team and play a crucial role in enhancing productivity and seamless collaboration among colleagues in a growing hybrid work environment.
Your responsibilities will include researching, evaluating, designing, deploying, and promoting new Collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, M365 Collaboration Solutions, Teams phones, and Endpoint Manager (Intune). You will act as a liaison between vendors' engineering resources and our Video Operations team to coordinate escalations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining proactive monitoring platforms, ensuring adherence to global standards, providing day-to-day support during transitions, and analyzing collaboration tool usage patterns through metrics dashboards.
Job Duties/Requirements
Performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of Audio, Video and Network connectivity AV equipment and peripheral equipmentResearch, design, and implement world-class collaboration experiences using platforms like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Team Rooms, Microsoft Teams Phone, Microsoft Intune (MDM), Microsoft Surface Hub, and audio/video solutions.Enhance end user adoption and functionality of Collaboration technology through the creation of technical documentation for solutions and procedures.Maintain proactive monitoring platforms such as Microsoft Teams Pro Management, Teams Admin, Logitech Sync, and XIO cloud.Provide an advanced level of troubleshooting for Microsoft Teams, Windows OS, Active Directory/Exchange, and patch management support.Performs site surveys, generate Bill of Materials, leads integration, testing, and installations of new facilities (conference rooms, etc.)Provides life cycle refresh projections for AV/VTC infrastructure and AV equipmentResponsible for evaluating, designing, documenting, installing, implementing, testing, maintaining, operating, removing and upgrading, and modifying video teleconferencing equipment systems and peripheralsProvide client consulting and training on control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment.Assist in the development of documents for design, implementation, test plans, maintenance plans, and any other Video Services related deliverables.Lead upgrades and installations of systems across the enterprise.Create annual and multi-year plans for upgrades of existing equipment.Research, recommend, and implement new and emerging technologies including video conferencing, desktop video conferencing, web conferencing, streaming and mobile video delivery, high quality video over IP, conference room collaboration systems.Complete site surveys, designing solutions based on requirementsWork closely with the PMO on planning, designing, and engineering new IT projectsCreate processes to improve business efficiencyProvide full life cycle support on an enterprise level for video conferencing, network streaming, and audio-visual technology.Qualifications:
Must have experience using scripting languages (PowerSHell, etc) to develop and automate processes and workflowsMust have System engineering/administration experience with SaaS-based collaboration platforms (Teams, Exchange, Intune) in a large-scale enterprise.Exceptional customer service orientation and technical expertise.Hands-on experience within the last 3 years with enterprise video conferencing solutions (Microsoft 365/Teams), and audio/visual technologies (conference rooms)Experience in implementing and supporting Streaming VideoTandberg and Cisco Video devices including end points and Mutli-point Control Units (MCU)s and Crestron and Codex VTC unitsProgramming Languages like SIMPL, SIMPL+ desiredExperienced in supporting, troubleshooting and installing the following hardware including; Polycom; Cisco: MX/SX/DX/ Room Kits / Room 55 / WebEx Team boards; Microsoft Surface Hub; Crestron Air Media, Crestron Processors, Crestron NVX and Digital Signage (mass display)Experience with producing BoMs, LoMs, Rack Elevations and Inventory sheets.
