Hold a High School Diploma or its equivalent, are able to pass a background check, and are able to complete your DCF hours within 90 Days of employment. Education in Early Childhood Education and experience within a licensed center is a big plus!

Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in managing classroom activities while ensuring compliance with Florida Office of Early Learning and the goals and objectives of the current VPK curriculumBuild and maintain a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and familiesConduct ongoing assessment of the growth and development of assigned children to inform instruction and measure progress toward goals; plan individualized curriculum to meet specific needs of children including children with disabilitiesArrange for children to be outdoors each and every day, for a minimum of one hour, weather permitting. The outdoor classroom is considered an extension of the learning environment. Both indoor and outdoor environments shall address curricular objectives by encouraging child-initiated, teacher-supported, active learning experiencesFollow health and safety procedures for hand washing, toileting, handling bodily fluids, sanitizing toys and equipment, administering medication, serving food, dealing with children's illnesses, and supervising childrenComplete timely, neat, accurate documentation of screenings, assessments, individualized plans, attendance, feedings, daily activity logs for parents and other documentation as may be deemed necessary for providing quality servicesCopy of Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Criminal Background screening completed in the past 5 yearsCopy of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background check completed within the last 5 yearsCopy of Affidavit of Good Moral Character
