Summary The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all outbound freight, daily receiving, picking and cycle counting in the warehouse. The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will report directly to the General Manager. This person will work closely with all Group Product Leaders and Customer Service to plan and arrange customer order fulfillment and shipping. They will also work directly with our customers and carriers to aid in shipping error resolution, outbound freight scheduling, claims, freight pricing, etc. Management level data reporting and ERP work is also required. Essential Functions Oversee a two shift warehouse Monitor picking accuracy and error rate Schedule daily and weekly truck schedules Perform daily reporting requirements (inventory accuracy, order verification, Upload/Download issues, ASN problems) Perform weekly reporting requirements (Fill rates, West Supply Chain Tool, Late JIT Report). Work with IT to trouble shoot Syteline (ERP) and IRMS (WMS) connectivity. Work to achieve 95% On-Time Delivery Manage daily performance of team to reach 99.92% Picking Accuracy Work with our 3rd Party Logistics Partner to schedule and route loads Manage the IT infrastructure of the warehouse (wireless RF scanners) Manage the service calls and repairs of the fork truck fleet Manage consignment inventory and processes Competencies Communication proficiency/coaching Organizational skills and thoroughness Team player with initiative Decision making skills and time management Proficient with computers Supervisory Responsibility Supervision of two shift supervisors and 15+ direct reports Physical Demands The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will beon his/her feet for up to 8 hours per day. It will require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, etc. The employee may need to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salaried position, which will result in at least 40 hours of work per week. The workdays will be Monday through Friday. Travel The position will require less than 10% travel. All travel will be domestic. Required Education and Experience Associates or Bachelor level degree 2-3 years of warehouse experience. Preferred Education and Experience Managing direct reports. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Experience with ERPs and WMS (warehouse management software). Strong experience with Microsoft Office. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
