Warehouse Worker

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for all medical equipment warehouse duties including but not limited to unloading trucks, receiving inventory, putting away inventory and processing staged orders to be shipped from the warehouse. This position processes Bills of Lading (BOLs) and selects the appropriate carrier is to be used depending on the location of customers receiving orders. Maintains a safe, orderly warehouse and participates in projects related to organization of staged orders, inventory, returns, inbound freight and outbound freight. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Unloads inbound freight utilizing a pallet jackPuts away incoming freight by adding to existing staged orders or storing in available inventory utilizing a pallet jack or forkliftReceives freight on purchase orders in the equipment systemMaintains a safe, clean, orderly warehouse; removes trash and debris from the floor and performs general organizational tasksMaintains locations of staged ordersMaintains locations for available inventory, warehouse shipping supplies, janitorial supplies, and miscellaneous items in the warehouseProcesses outbound shipments, pulls orders, processes BOLs, processes packing slips and maintains required documentationSchedules inbound and outbound shipments and communicates with freight carriersReports issues with incoming product including damages, shortages and incorrect items receivedPerforms inventory checks and reconciles inventory issues by researching inventory and order issuesProcesses returns to vendors/suppliersTrains and provides support for new TSMsParticipates in period inventory inspections and annual physical inventoryParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

Driver’s license requiredForklift certification required (certification may be completed locally)Pallet jack/hand truck useBasic computer skills are required in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically 2 or more years of related experience.Previous warehouse experience is recommendedForklift experience is recommended

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Warehouse environment, utilizing typical warehouse equipment including a forklift, pallet jack and hand trucks in addition to typical office equipment.
