In This Role\nOrganize daily activities of drivers and associates\nWork with fleet drivers, dispatchers, administrators, and third-party contractors\nOrganize Yard activities, including gate management, dock management, spotter operations, and maintaining the Yard Management System (YMS) across three shifts\nSynchronize operations in the yard with those in the warehouse, optimizing inbound and outbound operations\nMaintain an accurate YMS consisting of import containers, domestic trailers, and inventory storage trailers at various stages\nProcess, monitor, and audit driver control information to ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations\nCommunicate with the Maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in working order and compliance with state and federal regulations\nProcess and report yard safety and road incidents\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team\nOther duties as assigned by Management\n
The Ideal Person\nKnowledge of DOT Compliance\nAbility to operate Yard system (RFID preferred)\nAbility to perform Yard duties (moving containers around the yard)\nBasic computer skills that include some warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel knowledge\nRequired to wear steel toed boots/shoes at all times during work hours\nAbility to identify items on all paperwork including, but not limited to: customer orders and labels, manifest documents, packing lists, stock receipts, and bill of ladings as needed\n
