They procure products directly from 100+ premium grower/shippers and fresh processors, to deliver the best in quality and price. With a commitment to freshness, streamlined logistics, and k-12 services, Fresh Alliance redefines the industry standard, delivering a comprehensive solution and leverages high performance contracts supported by a wide variety of clients. Fresh Alliance is an integral part of the Fresh Division as it directly works with both Fresh Concepts and Produce Alliance providing a direct sourcing and contracting resources to their end user customers.  

This position is based out of either our Salinas, CA or our Suwanee, GA office on a hybrid schedule. We anticipate that this role will travel up to 40% of the time. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role. 

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Warm Veg Buyer who is a self-motivated, ambitious produce salesperson with experience in buying warm vegetables.

Your impact:

Make contact with quality customers/distributors to initiate new business Responsible for sales, retention and growth of company assigned customers Receive and confirm purchase orders via e-mail/phone Handle customer claims and collections High volume customer calling is a must Domestic travel required for customer meetings Must have solid relationships with warm veg suppliers Need to be experience in the consolidation process

About you:

Robust understanding of Warm Veg Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications Must have strong professional communication skills, problem solving skills Constant professionalism and positive company image Previous buying experience in Warm Veg category Must be detail oriented and willing to work in a fast-paced environment Four-year college degree or suitable industry experience preferred Bilingual preferred but not required
