Ackerman-Estvold's pay range is an estimate, and compensation may fall outside the posted range depending on experience. | Minot, ND, USA | Hourly | Full Time WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER Water Resource Engineer is a role that includes analysis, design and management of a wide variety of water resources projects This team member actively contributes to projects that involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm water management, flood control, pump systems, water supply and wastewater conveyance. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE + You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering + You are building on 0-2 years of successful design and consulting experience within the water resources area + You have technical skills and experience using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, or other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling resources + You have knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, lake and stream water quality issues, and earthwork and grading plans + You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Regularly design storm water detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, or other hydraulic structures + Develop watershed master plans and flood mitigation studies + Analyze storm water or floodplain drainage systems to control erosion, stabilize river banks, and repair channel streams + Design water or wastewater lift stations, including water wells + Prepare environmental documentation for regulatory program compliance + Interface with various entities ranging from FEMA and USACE to local government + Perform predesign services, such as feasibility or environmental impact studies + Create and follow design specifications, plans, maps, project schedules, and budgets + Live the Ackerman-Estvold values (Family, Fun, Community, Quality, Forward-Thinking, Integrity, and Clients) in a way that adds to our culture! Pay Information The pay range is $28-32 per hour, with a full competitive benefits package available.
