We are currently looking for a WIC Program Generalist to join our team. This position would be responsible for providing support services to the WIC certification process and food delivery of food benefits to eligible participants.
Responsibilities Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workersDelivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experienceSchedules WIC appointmentsObtains, verifies and documents participant informationObtains anthropometric measurements and blood work for participantsMaintains inventory logs for blood work, blood work controls and cuvettesDistributes WIC checks Adheres to agency infection control and safety policiesAdheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearanceOmission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position Qualifications High school diploma/GEDExperience with culturally diverse populationKnowledge of basic computer skillsStrong communication, customer service and interpersonal skillsValid drivers licenseWorking Conditions/Physical Demand: Busy clinic environment at various locations in the community; ability to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment
