A boutique law firm is hiring a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal in Warwick, 02886. This position is a 12 week temporary project covering a maternity leave. Pay is up to $30.00/hr

The schedule is semi flexible and will provide part time hours; approximately 20-30 hours per week.

About the law firm: An established law firm for over 20 years. This is a professional office with a friendly group of attorneys (less than 8) and a welcoming support team. A tech savvy office using a legal case management system and MS Office.

About the position: Temporary project – approx 3 months. Flexible part time schedule but paralegal must work during business hours. No nights. No weekends. Duties will include preparing basic legal documents (pleadings, etc) as it relates to workers compensation cases petitions, etc), preparing docs for E-file through state. Monitor the progress of each claim, and obtain updated information by communicating with the client’s health care providers, adjuster, and workers compensation agencies in their respective state. Obtain and review the client’s medical records, documents provided from the client’s adjuster, wage information and employer records in order to prepare the attorney’s case for mediation, hearings or trial. Some scheduling of hearings & mediations. Handle legal file calendaring as needed.
