Together for better. **About the Role:** In this role interact with team and customers to ensure vendor applications meet customer needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's digital infrastructure, with a focus on Windows upgrades, workplace productivity engineering, and application management.This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of applications and systems. + Manage OS and BIOS settings as well as imaging process for new Windows devices. Oversee the upgrade process for Windows, including pre-cache and upgrade task sequences. Ensure all necessary content, such as OS upgrade packages and drivers, is downloaded before the upgrade begins. Perform prerequisite checks to verify system compatibility and manage driver updates. + Develop and maintain task sequences for Windows, incorporating the latest security patches and software updates. Manage BIOS updates and settings for supported models (Microsoft, Lenovo and Dell). + Provide support for updating various applications, including Adobe Acrobat, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Rapid7 Insight Agent. Ensure applications are up-to-date and compatible with the company's systems. + Actively involved in vulnerability management within the Technology Advancement Group, focusing on ensuring that asset owners, stakeholders, and the security team are synchronized on outstanding vulnerabilities and their associated incidents. Participates in weekly meetings to discuss remediation timelines and details associated with Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for assets and vulnerabilities. + Develop and maintain bank-wide Fair and Responsible Banking risk management programs, consistent with the requirements and spirit of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA), and Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP). + Participate in management, prioritization, problem management, and stability analysis activities. + Implement business applications based on technical requirements supplied by the vendor (or development organization) to meet the business needs for system resiliency and availability following release and deploy standards. + Perform level two and three support and troubleshooting when needed, including participating in on-call rotation for critical systems support after-hours. + Handle failures and troubleshoot issues during the upgrade and application management processes. Record extensive information in logs for troubleshooting and ensure devices meet upgrade standards. + Develop, test, and implement batch system integrations using scripting tools. + Develop and maintain documentation on solution designs/system topologies, issue resolutions, and routine and special procedures. + Responsible for updating tickets in service management system and tracking time required for IT services management. + Responsible for the deployment, testing and maintenance of software applications. + Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. + Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. + May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. + Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. + Embraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice” + May perform other duties as assigned. **About** **You:** + Proven experience in application engineering, system upgrades, and digital engineering. + Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. + Advanced experience with task sequence development and management. + Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. + In-depth Experience with BIOS updates and settings management. + Strong familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Rapid7 Insight Agent. + Extensive Knowledge of driver management and system compatibility checks. + Associate, vocational, or technical degree related to information technology or related field equivalent experience, preferred + Bachelor's Degree related to information technology, preferred + 4-7 years of experience in applications engineering, required + Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, preferred. + Configuration Management II (CMII), preferred. + Relevant Industry Certification, preferred **Travel** Occasional **Job Location(s):** Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s). The pay range for this role is $78,000 - $140,000, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
